Self-taught with synthesizers and drum machines from an early age, Paris’s child Assayag draws inspiration from a broad spectrum of genres, from the pioneering sounds of Detroit and Berlin techno to tribal house rhythm and even anthemic film music.
This wide range of influences is evident in his work, which combines powerful rhythmic energy with soulful melodies and a futuristic vibe. That’s what pushed him to launch his own record label, Temps Libre Records, with Juliann in late 2023.
Assayag’s unique music has led to releases on other esteemed labels such as Siamese, Renaissance, or Equanimity. His work has garnered strong support from notable artists like Dixon, Âme, Adriatique, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Jimi Jules, Trikk, or Ivory (IT).
